Our luxurious wool comfortwear is manufactured domestically, by partners who share our values, and to the benefit of local economies. Our manufacturing process is low-impact and ecologically-minded.
pure & natural, from start to finishBeginning with a renewable natural resource like wool, we guide and monitor the entire manufacturing process from wool shearing to finished product.
Our current demand for wool comes from 13,000 Rambouillet sheep who are providing the finest fiber available, a diameter of 18.5 and length of 3”. This superfine quality is essential to the superior luxury of the finished product.
The technology of manufacturing equipment is capable enough to produce a yarn and fabric of our specifications.
Wool is not transformed into something else. Machines, soaps, lubricating oils, and experience are the only inputs to completing the superior quality. We have used no chlorine, no liquid nylons, and no dumping of waste into rivers.
Simple, sophisticated, and responsible ethical manufacturing procedures managed by people who are long term providers in the textile and garment business deliver an authentic, ethically produced fabric, garment, and finished, dyed product.
Our environmentally safe dyes are from pure, natural plant extracts of Indigo, Logwood, Madder, Chestnut, Pomegranite, and Osage.
Our process of hand-dying insures that each piece of our wool clothing is unique, not an indistinguishable, mass produced item.
